Radio and Television Production I
Instructor: Maria EdwardsRadio and Television Production I focuses on communication, media, and video production. Emphasis is placed on the production of videos for broadcast on our Educational Access Channel Star Station Bedford. Students will develop oral and written communication skills, acquire software and equipment operation abilities, and integrate teamwork skills. Instructional strategies include a hands-on, real and simulated experiences, field trips, and guest speakers who work in the broadcast or public relationsfield.
*Recommended Prerequisites: Introduction to Communications or Mass Media

Radio and Television Production II

Radio and Television Production II -Students accepted into this course will be responsible for the daily operation of Star Station Bedford Television. Star Television produces a variety of programs aired on Comcast Channel 14, At&t Uverse Channel 99, and Vimeo. During this second year program, students train on professional equipment and integrate and build on first-year curriculum while mastering advanced concepts in video production, lighting and audio. Each student will be responsible for all elements of production, including news gathering and reporting, script writing, announcing, camera operation, and editing.
